krista bremer
group fitness instructor
Krista is a Group Exercise Certified fitness instructor with over 17 years of experience in the world of health and wellness. Krista's passion is to combine wellness, health, and fun so that exercise does not feel like a chore. In her classes, we celebrate what our bodies can do and encourage each other to experience the time in a positive way.
Krista began her fitness journey feeling unsure about her ability and coordination, but knowing that she loved to dance - even if she felt like she was stumbling all over the place. In 2008, Zumba opened the door to a whole new world for Krista, and she never looked back. Over time, dance fitness builds coordination and strength in our bodies, and Krista saw that exercise could be so much fun! She became an instructor and has since been licensed to teach Zumba with weights, steppers, Aqua, Gold (for active older adults), and a Cardio Strength class. Exercising our bodies should never feel bad, and Zumba taught Krista to celebrate what we can do and where we start from on our journey in wellness. She loves to spread the joy of Zumba to the community and show everyone that no matter how stressful their day has been, for one hour we can be free through dancing (and, of course, singing along - even when we don't know the words!)
Outside the classroom, Krista is a program supervisor for Adoption and Foster Care for a non-profit in Pittsburgh. She holds a Master's Degree in Global and International Education from Drexel University and an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Duquesne University. She loves riding her bike, walking her dog, and watching her two kids play soccer. Her motto is "there are no mistakes in class, only unexpected solos
